The panic created with the second wave of the pandemic has now led to an acute shortage of oxygen supply and the people have now started hoarding the oxygen cylinders with them. While India is producing enough medical oxygen, the hospitals in several states have now declared SOS in regards to the oxygen supply and availability. This is partly because while there is enough production capacity, the transportation of these cylinders to the hospitals is now becoming taxing. While there is a major gap in demand and supply, the social media platforms are flooded with pleas of people looking for oxygen cylinders. Amidst all of this, a tragic incident in one of Nasik's hospital has now further made the situation worrisome. The oxygen tanker leaked and left 22 people dead. Following this, a blame game erupted with the opposition taking potshots at the Central government.
